USA Silent Saturday - May 3rd

As members of the Utah Soccer Alliance Sportsmanship Committee, we are proud to introduce an upcoming "Silent Saturday."

On May 3rd, 2014, USA is asking for full participation from parents, family, fans and spectators.  We are asking for club wide support and adherence to a few simple guidelines at your player's match.

CLAPPING ONLY - combined with the use of noise makers and rattles (horns not permitted). In other words...no words!  Not to players, refs, or opponents.  If your son or daughter scores a goal, we encourage all parents to stand and clap.
This is an effort from the USA Sportsmanship Committee to demonstrate our acknowledgement of and dedication to our commitment to being a club that is focused on sportsmanship - and we are asking for your help!

Your silence will show your ability to support your athlete without the possibility of offending a ref, player or opponent.  In addition, your verbal silence also allows for the coach's communication and guidance to the player to be heard clearly and concisely.

If by chance you slip up - coaches and assistants will be "armed" with suckers.  The suckers are a friendly reminder of the effort behind "Silent Saturday."

We are also making an effort extend this invite to the director of coaching for each club that we play against in order to encourage participation by all teams and sidelines.

Your support is greatly appreciated!

RSL Watch Party vs. Sporting Kansas City Saturday April 5, 6:30 pm

Dear USA Families,

We have had a full house each Saturday during our RSL watch party at Bout Time in Herriman, and for that we would like to tell everyone that has participated THANK YOU! Having players Sebastian, Devon and Lalo be part of the fun has been very enjoyable.

Come be part of the fun and action this Saturday, as RSL takes on Sporting KC.  Bout Time Herriman is hosting RSL watch parties in their new private event section where 20 large screen TVs will be televising RSL this entire season. The room fills up quickly.  Get there early.

The private event room has limited seating so we are asking families planning on attending to guarantee their table by calling prior to game time and reserving a table. The room has a limit of 75-85 chairs. The overflow patrons can still enjoy the game in the adjacent section of the restaurant but the RSL players will be visiting in the private event section. Game time is 6:30pm this Saturday. Get there early! Bout Time Grill and Pub is located at 5502 W 13400 S, Herriman, UT 84096 (Smith's shopping center) To reserve and guarantee your table, please call Casi at 801-554-7424.  Let's continue to support RSL by attending the watch parties!

Any questions, text Tona Colotla or Casi.

USA Soccer Cleat Exchange

USA Soccer Club will be hosting a cleat exchange on March 28 at Oquirrh Shadows (by fire station on 102nd S and 40th W).  5:30-7:00PM.  Please bring any cleats you have laying around, even if you don't need new ones, any cleats left over will be donated to the refugee village in Salt Lake.   If you cannot find a size you need, Team Gear has donated 20% off coupons for a new pair.

The backpack for the Byrge/Coons fundraiser will also be passed.  Both families had children in the club and John was a U8 coach.

It takes a village to raise children, please support both causes.

UVU Men's Soccer College ID Camp March 22nd

Wolverine Soccer Camp Information and Registration

OREM, Utah -- Utah Valley University men's soccer head coach Greg Maas and associate head coach Matt Ellinger announced Wednesday that registration is now open for the upcoming Wolverine Soccer Camps.

Information and registration forms can be accessed through the UVU Soccer Camps website. Featured on the camp docket are two College ID camps -- designed for dedicated players ages 15 and up with aspirations to compete at the next level -- and two sessions worth of day camps -- focused more on individual skill development -- aimed at players ages 5 and up. College ID Camps will be held March 22 and Aug. 1-2 while the Day Camps will take place July 7-10 and 14-17.

The Wolverine Soccer Camps are based on a simple coaching principle: young players learn and develop skills more quickly and effectively when they are having fun. The main objective of each camp is to teach each player how to fully reach their potential as a soccer player. The learning activities and functional training games packed into each camp are aimed to develop individual techniques, skills and team tactics through creative and motivating sessions. Each and every player will develop a better appreciation of how to play and think as a total soccer player through Wolverine Soccer Camps.
