USA U9 Girls win Ultimate Indoor Championship

On Saturday February 20th, the USA U9 girls team coached by Jose Araneda won the championship at ultimate indoor soccer in Woods Cross.  The girls team went undefeated in the season.  The championship game was played against a tough Strikers team (who's only losses came from USA) ended in a 2-1 golden goal overtime victory.  Prior velocity training appeared to have paid off with more endurance and strength as the girls played every game with only 1 or 2 subs.

Jose is doing a fantastic job.

USA Red 94 take Silver medal at Nomads Tournament

The U16 boys USA Red 94 RM team participated in the Nomads Thanksgiving Day 2009 tournament in San Diego, CA, on the weekend of, well…Thanksgiving. This tournament is a top 40 ranked tournament nationally. With superb coaching from Ryan Mitchell, the boys had several standout performances in 6 games and gave up only 5 goals.  They represented the USA soccer club with class and a superb level of soccer as they brought home the Silver medal in the top bracket  At the quarter finals, they beat nationally ranked Knott’s Forrest (9) and moved on to beat Real So Cal (35) in the semi-finals.  In the Championship match, they fought to earn the silver in a 2-1 match against their aggressive opponents, Texas Fire (20).  Congratulations USA!
