Dave Chazen

I started coaching in soccer over 30 years ago and I have developed a strong love for the game. I have coached all four of my children through both recreational and competitive soccer programs onto their high school teams. I am now starting to coach my grandkids in soccer. I have coached both boys and girls teams on competition clubs that have traveled extensively to regional tournaments. I have a "D" level coaching license and I was a certified referee for several years. I have been involved in the start-up and organization of soccer clubs but I prefer the personal relationships developed by working out on the field with individual players.

I strongly believe that by teaching youth what it takes to be successful in soccer that we provide them a model for how to be successful at any other undertaking in their future lives. I have been fortunate enough to experience numerous examples of this with many of the players I have coached. That is why I love to coach youth soccer, especially at the competitive level.

I am presently coaching a boys U10 team in X-League and a young adult special needs soccer team for TOPS Soccer.

Jenelle Muir

I have been playing soccer for 28 years. I played AAA competition and was the league's top scorer for most of my soccer years. I played at Bingham High 94-97 as a defender and midfielder. Ranked one of the top teams in the state and nation every year I was there. The summer before I went to college my team went on to win the Gold Medal, for Utah Summer Games, by a sudden death PK goal made by me. Played at the woman's collegiate level for two years. My husband played for the men's team when we met. After graduating college I trained with Blitzz Captain Adolfo Ovalle for three years, and have now coached every level and age group both girls and boys. Had the opportunity to Coach one year at Bingham High School. I am currently coaching my son's U13 team. My Husband and I have been married 13 years and have seven beautiful children and still love the game. She has a USSF D license.

Shay Muir

I love soccer. I have played for more than 31 years, and have coached at least 15. I was selected for my city's all-star team every year it was available, 8/8 years. I then helped found the Vernal Soccer Club where we traveled around Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona playing premiere teams and tournaments. I played for the men's team in college where we were the only team that year to defeat BYU who went on to win the National Championship. I met my wife who played for the women's team and it was in fact soccer that brought us together. She was out of my league, but when she mentioned that she played soccer, I found the courage to say hi. As an adult I have played for many teams and in many leagues and have twice won the League title for most goals scored.  I still play today where I just can't get enough of the competition. I started coaching in High School where a youth team was dropped because the coach dropped out last minute. They took last place the year before, and without changing a single player, we came back that year and took second, where we lost on a "luck shot" in the last seconds of the game. Since then I have either coached or helped train both boys and girls of varying ages and pride myself on fostering self confidence in players and providing them with the tools they need to compete at any level. My wife and I have seven kids and  now enjoy being able to coach and train our own children on their journey through soccer. He has a USSF D license.
